Hi, my name is Glenn, and I’m so glad you are here because that means you have an interest in Swing Trading!
Whether you’re brand new to trading, or a swing trading veteran, I hope you’ll be able to find some value in the resources I’ve put together on my blog. It’s been a long journey for me.
I can still remember becoming interested in making money by trading when I was a little kid (it had to be 3rd or 4th grade) when I looked at the dizzying array of stock quotes in the newspaper. I bought my first stocks in high school (Dell, Chock-Ful-O’Nuts and Woolworth’s). Dell turned into the true winning stock of the 90’s, while the other two whimpered along. I realized that I had picked Dell on my own, and the other two were stock picks by an “expert” in Business Week. That gave me confidence to step further into the world of trading.
I grew my trading stack from nothing to a huge (almost 6 figures) amount, and then lost it all. Rinse, repeat…again and again and again.
Discouraged, I finally realized that my trading habits needed a serious overhaul. I took years off from trading and spent my time reading tons of books focused on technical analysis, market psychology, system design…you name it!
- I learned that what worked for me was to stick to the basics
- I don’t over-complicate things
- I have a trading plan
- I control my emotions
Guess what? It works.
I’ve been successfully swing trading now for over 5 years and created this blog to pass along what I’ve learned on my journey. I am by no means an expert at swing trading, but I know one thing…I am now consistently taking money out of the market!
